Therapy based in science, personalized for you.
Guiding Values
-
Compassion is the central, guiding principle both in my psychology practice and in my life. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, empathy, respect, and genuine caring. Meeting with a new therapist can feel difficult. When you place your trust in a mental health professional, I believe it can help to know that that professional will approach your situation compassionately and nonjudgmentally, will seek to understand you, will accept you as you are, and will thoughtfully apply their years of training and expertise to help you because they genuinely want to see you thrive.
-
Effective therapy is a collaborative effort that involves creativity, exploration, and respect for the lived experiences of each person. Therapy is tailored to fit the unique strengths, values, and preferences of my clients as we pursue a common goal of creating a healing and empowering therapy experience.
-
As a psychologist, I am deeply committed to the well being of the clients I serve. I am also faithful to my professional ethical code, to the science of psychology, to science-based practice, to social justice, and to fairness.

There’s no getting around it. Meaningful change takes courage. It may feel frightening to move from what is known but not working to something new and (hopefully) empowering and effective. Change can be a scary endeavor, and it is only possible where there is also willingness to be brave, bold, and courageous.
